Blue Innovation received a call from the Carrum Downs Medical Centre regarding their air-conditioning. We were on site shortly after to diagnose the fault which was a mechanically ceased reversing valve (diagnosing a reversing valve involves a process of elimination). We first tested to see if the machine worked at the correct pressures and we then checked if the signal from the air-conditioners module was functioning correctly.
If those tests passed, we checked the electrical solenoid that changes the system from heating to cooling (if that still doesn’t change the system into cooling, it can only be the valve itself). Once the valve was replaced and the machine was commissioned and tested; the manager of the centre was pleased to have cooling available for his clients and doctors once again.
Air-conditioning in a Medical Centre is critical due to fragile clients with high risk conditions. It is extremely important that the air-conditioning is serviced regularly.
